Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Preventive and Remedial Maintenance Services for Chillers

The Smithsonian Institution is providing this Notice of a Pending Solicitation. The Smithsonian will be seeking proposals for Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Preventive and Remedial Maintenance Services for Chillers.

The applicable North American Industry Classification Codes ("NAICS") is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, size standard is $45 million. This announcemenr is open to all businesses regardless of size.

Background: The Smithsonian Institution (SI) facilities, Office of Facilities Management and Reliability (OFMR) has a facility wide requirement for Preventive and Remedial Maintenance Services for Chillers with multiple original equipment manufacturers.

Period of Performance: The initial period of performance is for 1 (one) 12 month base period and 9 (nine) optional periods for its museum and facilities.

Locations: The Smithsonian Facilities, Office of Facilities Management and Reliability (OFMR) has a requirement for a Contractor to provide Preventative and Remedial Maintenance Services for its Chillers in the following locations:

• Washington, DC
• Edgewater, MD
• Suitland, MD
• Chantilly, VA
• New York, NY
• Front Royale, VA

The full solicitation, request for proposal and supporting documents will be released on or about September 2025; however, there is no guarantee or implication of a guarantee this project will be solicited. Responses due within (30) days of release. Electrionic copies will be uploaded to SAM.gov site. This notice does not obligate the Goverment to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response.

The Smithsonian Institution will accept proposals from all qualified offerors. The Smithsonian Institution's evaluation panel will be the sole entity to determine as to whether a offeror is capable of meeting the requirements to carry out contract performance.
