Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for facilities within the NAVAC Washington Area of Operations (AO) to include Washington DC (DC), Virginia (VA), and Maryland (MD)   4

Background
This Special Notice is issued by the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFACSYSCOM) Washington to solicit feedback on the design of a proposed Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for large-scale U.S. military construction projects in the NAVFAC Washington Area of Operations, which includes locations in Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland.

The goal of this procurement is to provide construction services that support the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, and other supported Command Tenant mission needs.

Work Details
The MACC will encompass a range of construction tasks including:

1. General building projects such as new construction, demolition, repair, alteration, and renovation of buildings and systems.
2. Types of facilities involved may include administrative buildings, industrial facilities, maintenance shops, warehouses, hangars, communication centers, personnel support facilities, recreation areas, lodging facilities, dormitories, medical facilities, training ranges, and roads.
3. Projects may involve civil, structural, mechanical, electrical work as well as fire protection and communication systems installation.
4. The contract allows for lead or asbestos abatement if required during project execution.
5. The contractor must manage multiple task orders concurrently across the NAVFAC Washington AOR.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base performance period of two years (24 months) from the award date with options for two additional three-year periods (totaling up to eight years).

Place of Performance
The geographic locations for performance include Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland.
