Background
This contract is issued by the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Pacific, aimed at providing multi-discipline Architect-Engineer (AE) services specifically for fire protection engineering projects.

The goal of this indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract is to ensure the availability of qualified firms to perform essential engineering services in support of various projects under NAVFAC Pacific's cognizance. The total fee for the contract term shall not exceed $49,000,000 with a guaranteed minimum of $10,000.

Work Details
The contract encompasses a wide range of design and engineering services for fire protection engineering projects, including but not limited to:

- Preparation of contract documents and technical reports
- Engineering investigations and concept studies
- Life safety analysis
- Building and fire code analysis
- Water supply analysis at project sites
- Design-build request for proposal (DB RFP) and design-bid-build (DBB) construction documents
- Construction estimates
- Operations and maintenance manuals
- Record drawings
- Shop drawing reviews
- Technical review of design plans and specifications prepared by others
- Water flow testing
- Formal inspection and testing for acceptance of installed fire protection systems
- Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and simulation
- Performance-based designs
- Smoke control/management systems and fire risk assessments
- Post-construction award services; and other miscellaneous services. Projects may involve new construction or rehabilitation of existing facilities across various NAVFAC Pacific locations.
