Incubation and Optics Upgrade for STORM System

Background
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), specifically the Advanced Imaging & Analysis Core Facility (AIACF) within the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI), intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order to Nikon Instruments for an upgrade to the existing Nikon STORM system.
The goal of this contract is to enhance the capabilities of the STORM system to better serve NHGRI core users by improving imaging resolution and expanding sample types that can be analyzed.

Work Details
The contract involves the following specific products and upgrades:
1. **CFI Apo 60X TIRF Lens**:
- Specifications: NA 1.49, WD 0.12
- Purpose: Replaces an older, damaged lens to restore full functionality for TIRF and STORM resolution data generation.

2. **Plan Apo Lambda D 20X Lens**:
- Specifications: NA 0.8, WD 0.8
- Purpose: Allows for lower magnification imaging, increasing throughput and sample depth capabilities.

3. **Tokai HiT Stage Top Incubation System**:
- Compatibility: Designed to work with the existing piezo Z stage.
- Features: Magnetic holders for 35/50/60 mm dishes, well plates, and slides; controls temperature (25-45 degrees), humidity, and uses 100% CO2 with a mixer for 5% CO2.
- Purpose: Enables live cell imaging, vastly expanding the range of samples that can be utilized with the STORM system.

Bidder Requirements
Nikon Instruments is identified as the only responsible source capable of providing these upgrades due to their status as the manufacturer of the STORM system. They do not permit third parties to perform upgrades on their systems.
