Background
The 409th Theater Contracting Command has a requirement for structural pumper fire trucks for delivery to IMCOM-Europe Fire Fighting Training Center in Ansbach, Germany. This procurement also requires the contractor to develop and provide training sessions NLT than 2 weeks after delivery of the equipment for at least 24 hours onsite training (at delivery location – Ansbach, Germany) for approximately 20 students in local language (German). This solicitation may result in one or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements.

Work Details
Specific products to be manufactured or delivered under the contract include structural pumpers meeting the requirements of NFPA 1901, EN 1846, and DIN 14502. The contract consists of three major elements: vehicle chassis, apparatus body with min. 3,000l water tank, 300l foam tank, covered hose bed and storage compartments with roll up doors, and firefighting equipment.

The vehicle shall not exceed specific maximum dimensions and weight ratings. It must meet size and weight criteria of STVO to be operated without special permit. The color coat application shall consist of at a minimum two applications of acrylic urethane color coat. The final finish shall be free of dirt and sags. All steel parts of the chassis and body will be completely sand blasted prior to welding. The body cab and chassis will be hollow cavity-sealed with wax.
