Background
The U.S. Department of the Interior, through its Interior Business Center, is issuing this solicitation on behalf of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), specifically the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI). The purpose of this contract is to provide maintenance and service support for various government-owned Illumina sequencing platforms and ancillary equipment that are critical for ongoing cancer research and patient care efforts.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing maintenance services on-site according to the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) standards. This includes:

1. Performing one planned preventive maintenance (PM) inspection during the contract period for all instruments covered under an active maintenance agreement at the start of the period of performance.

2. Conducting emergency repair service visits at no additional cost during normal working hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, excluding Federal Holidays).

3. Providing an initial response within one hour upon notification of equipment malfunction.

4. Ensuring all PMs are performed by factory-trained personnel, including thorough cleaning, calibration, adjustment, inspection, and testing in accordance with manufacturer procedures. Each instrument must undergo at least one complete operating cycle following PM to ensure optimal performance.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance consists of a twelve-month base period followed by one twelve-month option period.

Place of Performance
Onsite services shall be performed at the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute located at 9000 Rockville Pike, Bldgs. 10, 37 and 41, Rockville, MD 20892.
