Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this contract for the Upgrade Heating Distribution System at the New Jersey VA Healthcare System, East Orange Campus. The goal of this project is to enhance the heating distribution system to ensure efficient operation and improved service delivery in alignment with the agency's mission to provide high-quality healthcare to veterans.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for general construction tasks including alterations, necessary removal of existing structures, and construction as required by the contract drawings and specifications. Specific tasks include upgrading the steam/condensate heating distribution system as outlined in Project Number 561-20-101. The magnitude of construction is estimated between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The work must adhere strictly to the provided project drawings and specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract completion time is set for 760 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP).

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Department of Veterans Affairs, New Jersey VA Healthcare System’s East Orange Campus, located at 385 Tremont Ave, East Orange, NJ 07018.
