IECP

The overarching technical objective for IECP is to adapt and expand the application of dual-use and defense specific thermal appliance technologies and capabilities by incorporating additional technology enhancements that will address critical issues. Issues of interest are fuel reduction considerations, SWAP improvements and enhancements, and the operation of critical electronics for integrated power generation capabilities, DEW and HE systems, and high speed supersonic and hypersonic missiles. Likewise, coordinative complex compound armor (COMBAM) technology for light weight and moldable protection against ballistic and thermal threats will be assessed and demonstrated.

Upon successful completion of this prototype effort, the Government anticipates that a follow-on production effort may be awarded via either contract or transaction, without the use of competitive procedures if the participants in this transaction successfully complete the prototype project as awarded. The Government defines success as the vendor(s) successfully completing IECP.

Note: Should the selected vendor fail to demonstrate progress or be unsuccessful in the accomplishment of the goals of this prototyping effort, the Government reserves the right to return to the results of this competition and award additional Other Transaction Agreements to one or more of the vendors that responded to the initial Request for Solutions, as appropriate within the scope and evaluated results of the competition.
