IDS ACS Upgrade and Maintenance (GUAM)

Background
The requirement is to update components of the Intrusion Detection and Access Control system at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. The purpose is to detect and correct any deficiencies or failures before they occur or develop into major defects. The contract is for 12-month preventive maintenance services and supplies on the Electronic Security Systems (ESS) in secured facilities.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, including all required conduit, junction/pull boxes, and other installation hardware necessary to provide and install the upgraded Vindicator Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Vindicator Access Control System for Hangar 5. The contractor will replace three non-secure side trim levers with mechanical push button trims. The secure room will be upgraded to a Vindicator solution. The main panel will be replaced with Air Forced approved equipment for Intrusion Detection and all alarms generated will report to SFS BDOC for alarm response. Nine additional motion detectors will be added for adequate coverage.

The existing boxes for door contacts and card reader/keypads will be replaced with approved boxes and tampers as required. All existing cable will be rerouted and installed in EMT conduit to meet security requirements. New conduit will be installed above the ceiling tile to house any additional cabled for new devices. A vindicator badging system will be installed with badge manager software, printer, and accessories for the site.

Period of Performance
The maintenance activity is intended for work to be performed quarterly from the date the contract is executed.

Place of Performance
The geographic locations where the Electronic Security Systems (ESS) are located include Building 25002, Room 131 (Wing Operations Center), Building 23002, Room 27, Building 25002, Room 136, Building 25024 (Tropicana), Building 25024, Room 7, and Hangar 5, Level 3 Secure Room at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam.
