The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is: 237310-Highway, Street, and Bridges Construction and the PSC of Z2LB, Maintenance, Repair or Alteration of Real Property Highways, Roads, Streets, Bridges, and Railways (includes resurfacing) with a size standard of $45 million.

Construction Magnitude: In accordance with DFARS 236.204, the magnitude of this construction project is anticipated to be between $5M and $10M.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Q: I wanted to get clarification on the bid due date and opening. On the SF1442, it is stated that the bid is due on 27 May 2024 at 2 p.m. However, page 119 states that it is due on 4 June 2024 at 1 p.m.

A: All sealed bids shall be physically received by the Contracting Officer no later than 28 May
2024 at 2:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (EST). The bid opening date/time has been
revised to match the solicitation closing date/time of 28 May 2024 at 2:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time
(EST)

Q. We would like to know if government can issue an additional site visit for this job.

Background
The solicitation is for an IDIQ Bridge Repair contract. The acquisition will be solicited using Sealed Bid Procedures for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. The PSC of Z2LB, Maintenance, Repair or Alteration of Real Property – Highways, Roads, Streets, Bridges, and Railways with a size standard of $45 million.

Work Details
The work covered by this contract consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and performing all operations required in connection with Maintain and Repair Bridges (IDIQ), Ft Stewart and Hunter AAF. The work includes demolishing existing bridge components such as bulkheads, wingwalls, stringers, piles, caps, decking, and miscellaneous items. It also involves constructing new timber bridges or repairing by component replacement as issued by the delivery order to include bulkheads, wingwalls, stringers, decking, piles, caps, signs, miscellaneous bolts and fasteners. Additionally, it includes clearing brush, excavation, backfilling, compacting, grading as required in each individual delivery order. The contractor shall repair cracks and spalls in concrete bridges and culverts; seal joints in concrete bridge and culvert decks and substructures; install concrete bridge approaches for timber bridges; install and repair signs for bridge classification information; install storm piping in location directed; seed and establish grass in all disturbed areas.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract is from 30 May 2024 to 29 May 2029.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield.
