IDIQ 24 Inch Cutterhead Pipeline Dredge Rental   4

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is issuing this contract for the rental of a 24-inch cutterhead pipeline dredge along with attendant plant and operators. The primary goal of this contract is to facilitate maintenance dredging operations for navigation projects located in Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida. This includes various waterways such as the Black Warrior & Tombigbee Rivers, Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, Alabama River & Lakes, Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Biloxi Harbor, Bayou La Batre Harbor, and Mobile Harbor.

The contract aims to ensure that these waterways remain navigable and safe for commercial and recreational use.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for dredging operations which include:
1. Dredging at various locations within the Mobile District including deep and shallow draft projects as well as coastal restoration projects and beach nourishment projects.
2. Supplying dredge-related supplies and equipment such as tugs, barges, cranes, geotextile tubes, sheet pile, and land-based heavy equipment for disposal operations.
3. Conducting dredging work for state ports in Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida as well as other non-federal entities.
4. The dredge must have a 24-inch diameter pump discharge and be capable of continuous operation with sufficient horsepower.
5. The contractor may also need to provide additional dredges if required by the contracting officer.
6. All removed materials must be placed in approved disposal areas as directed by the government or authorized representative.

The geographic locations for performance include various waterways in Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida.
