Background
The project is issued by the Western Federal Lands Highway Division, which is responsible for the management and development of transportation infrastructure in federal lands.

The goal of this contract is to reconstruct and pave Trestle Creek Road to improve access to the Kaniksu National Forest, ensuring it can accommodate year-round traffic.

Work Details
The project involves the following construction tasks:
1. Placing riprap for bank stabilization.
2. Installing roadway aggregate.
3. Paving with asphalt concrete.
4. Making drainage improvements through culvert replacements.
5. Implementing roadside safety improvements including enhanced signage, pavement markings, and limited use of delineators.
6. Conducting stream bank restoration in coordination with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG).

The roadway will be reconstructed to match existing width with strategic widening for vehicle turnouts where topography allows.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence in Spring 2025 and be completed by Fall 2025.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed along Trestle Creek Road in Bonner County, Idaho, specifically from MP 100 to MP 103.7.
