The awarded contract: 36C26223D0044, task order: 36C26223N0474 is awarded via Interim Contract Authority (ICA) in accordance with VA Directive 1663. This was approved by the Medical Sharing / Affiliate Office (MSO) on March 30, 2023. Approved MSO number MSO-2023-ICA-0013: A six (6) month interim contract for $1,594,653.60 with a six (6) month option to extend services in the total amount of $3,189,307.20 to allow sufficient time to establish a long-term contract. You are advised to maintain this email as evidence of approval by the MSO. This Interim Request is for the Alamogordo, NM Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) for a six (6) month period for the Department of Veterans Affairs and the New Mexico VA Healthcare System (NMVAHCS) with Primary Care Solutions, Inc. to be executed by VISN 22L Network Contracting Office. This Interim Approval, per your customer's request, is for a short-term contract for six (6) months with a six (6) month Option to Extend Services if the long term is not awarded within the initial six (6) month period. The intent of this document is to expedite a short-term contract. Please ensure that you incorporate FAR 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services Clause into the solicitation. The long-term contract will be for a base period of twelve months and eight (8) one (1) year options. Award Flexibilities: As we enter the 4th quarter, this is to remind agencies of the flexibilities available in 2CFR and 48 CFR (FAR) and take a risk-based approach in making awards. Although the initial amount was $3,189,308.20, the price was negotiated and based on current inflation the total is now $3,442,169.60. Price was found fair and reasonable.
