Amendment 02 was added to this solicitation on August 6, 2024.

The purpose of Amendmnet 02 is to add drawings to the file. Please review document titled, "IB3a Helium Recovery Drawings" for more informaiton.

Amendment 01 was added to this solicitation on July 24, 2024.

The purpose of Amendment 01 is to change the Site Visit date to August 5 at 2:00 PM CST and to extend the proposal due date to August 16 at 5:00 PM CST. The questions due date has also been revised and are now due August 8 at 5PM CST. Please see attached document titled, "Amendment 01" for more information.

Background
Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL) is in the process of installing a Helium Recovery System at Industrial Buildings Complex. The goal of the contract is to add a new piping system to recover helium from Industrial Building 3 Addition (IB3a) to Industrial Building 1 Addition (IB1a) purifier compressor suction. Tests conducted at IB3a consume large amounts of helium every year, which is currently being released into the atmosphere.

Work Details
The subcontractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, tools, consumable items, and services necessary to install the DEVICE system in strict accordance with the specification. The work includes welding, pressure testing, leak checking, and fabrication of a fully functional piping system suitable for long-term operation. All welding shall be performed in accordance with ASME B31.3 code and shall be internally purged with welding quality argon gas during the time of welding and post-welding treatment.
The subcontractor shall submit a signed and dated Hazard Analysis for all scope including work at heights above 6 feet. FRA will provide a Leading Edge Safety Stinger Mobile Fall Protection System for each worker when working on roofs. Upon demobilization, the subcontractor shall perform a site cleanup.
