Background
The Caven Point Marine Terminal is undertaking a project to develop a Hybrid Vessel Charging System. This initiative is part of the agency's mission to enhance marine operations and support sustainable practices at the terminal located in Jersey City, New Jersey.

The goal of the contract is to facilitate the construction and installation of various components necessary for the charging system, ensuring compliance with specified plans and specifications.

Work Details
The contract encompasses several key tasks:

1. Mobilization: Includes project signage, preconstruction surveys, temporary fencing, and all general requirements as outlined in the plans and specifications.

2. Demolition: Involves all demolition work and disposal of demolished materials according to the plans and specifications.

3. Mooring Dolphins: Tasks include excavation, temporary shoring, installation of mooring dolphins, micropiles, reinforced concrete cap, bollards, rub rail, and all associated transport and labor as per specifications.

4. Fender System: Supply and installation of cone fenders, steel pile sleeves, concrete filled pipe piles, camels, and ladders as required by plans.

5. Supply and Install Gangway: Provision of all supplies, accessories, labor, and incidentals necessary for a functional gangway as per specifications.

6. Electrical Works: Includes installation of PVC duct banks, various types and sizes of cable, grounding systems and components, switchboards, panelboards for cable crane installation excluding excavation already covered elsewhere in the documents.

7. Structural Earthworks for Electrical and Cable Crane: Involves concrete equipment pads, cable crane foundation construction, asphaltic concrete paving (6” thick), ductbank trenching with concrete fill and bollards while ensuring compliance with plans.

8. Demobilization: Post-construction activities including surveys, parking lot restoration (removal of asphalt), installation of compacted subbase and asphaltic concrete pavement along with drainage trenching.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of approximately 310 days.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be carried out at Caven Point Marine Terminal in Jersey City, New Jersey.
