HVAC REPLACEMENTS AT THE MAB PROJECT   2

Background
The Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory is seeking a general contractor to provide a quote for labor and materials to supply and install replacement HVAC units at the Meson Assembly Building (MAB). The existing two units, a 15-ton Trane package unit and a 20-ton Carrier package unit, are at an End of Life (EOL) status and need to be replaced with larger capacity units. The total tonnage for replacement is 45 based on attached zone cooling and heating loads by component calculations.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the supply and installation of replacement HVAC units at the Meson Assembly Building. The specific tasks involve removing the existing 15-ton Trane package unit and replacing it with a 20-ton package unit, as well as removing the existing 20-ton Carrier package unit and replacing it with a 25-ton package unit. The contractor is expected to adhere to all relevant safety protocols, including pre-registering for site access, participating in a pre-bid site walk, and ensuring compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

The construction projects will be performed at the Meson Assembly Building (MAB) located at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, P.O. Box 500, Batavia, IL 60510.
