HVAC Replacement Chillers

Background
The Chillicothe VA Medical Center, located in Chillicothe, Ohio, relies on multiple air-cooled chillers to provide essential air conditioning for its campus buildings. The failure of these chillers can adversely affect patient care and administrative functions, potentially leading to appointment cancellations and even inpatient evacuations. This contract aims to replace aging chillers that are beyond their expected service lives and have become unreliable and difficult to maintain.

Work Details
The vendor is required to furnish a total of 8 (eight) air-cooled chillers with the following specifications:
- **Quantity**: 8 units total
- **6 units**: 125–130-ton, high efficiency/high performance, air cooled, 3 phase/60 hertz, 200 volts
- Must be UL/CUL listed
- ASHRAE 90.1/CSA C743 compliant
- AHRI certified
- **2 units**: 125–130-ton, high efficiency/high performance, air cooled, 3 phase/60 hertz, 460 volts
- Must be UL/CUL listed
- ASHRAE 90.1/CSA C743 compliant
- AHRI certified
- **Compressor**: Hermetic sealed scroll type with internal overload protection and oil management features.
- **Evaporator**: Braze plate style with a minimum flow rate of 115.5 gallons per minute.
- **Condenser**: Designed for high ambient conditions with specific airflow requirements.
- **Electrical Specifications**: Total power ≤114.4 KW with detailed electrical ratings provided.
- **Refrigerant**: R454B or equivalent non-CFC refrigerant.
- **Warranty**: Minimum of a 5-year parts labor warranty for compressor components and a minimum of a 1-year warranty on all other parts.

Period of Performance
The period of performance shall not exceed 180 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Chillicothe VA Medical Center, Building 23, Warehouse (for deliveries), 17273 State Route 104, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide:
- A pricing quote with documentation for evaluation of functional and technical specifications.
- A Buy American Certificate.
- Warranty details including extended warranty options.
- Delivery timeframe information.
- A copy of an authorized distributor letter if not the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
Additionally, compliance with the 'Buy American Act' is required.
