Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia- Corner Express 2.0 Image Update

Background
The Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) is issuing a contract for the renovation of the Corner Express facility at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia.

The goal of this contract is to update the interior of the Corner Express building to meet new 2.0 Express standards, which includes adding new Quick Service Restaurants (QSPs) and replacing outdated equipment.

This project aims to enhance the service offerings at the facility, thereby improving customer experience and operational efficiency.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Phased selective demolition of designated exterior elements including roof elements such as standing seam metal roofing for new equipment and cutting openings in the roof deck.
2. Phased selective demolition of designated interior building elements including:
- Electrical work: removal of lighting fixtures, power devices, hardwired disconnects, and other electrical systems.
- Mechanical work: removal of diffusers, ductwork, and other mechanical systems.
- Plumbing work: removal of hard piped equipment disconnects, waste piping, and supply piping.
- Sprinkler work: isolation and temporary shutdown of branch lines for demolition.
- General work: removal of vinyl base, countertops, ceilings, partitions, floor finishes, and concrete slab as necessary for new installations.
3. Installation of new construction elements including electrical rough-ins, mechanical systems like HVAC controls and exhaust fans, plumbing fixtures and connections, as well as sprinkler systems.
4. Temporary utilities management including heating and cooling provisions during construction to ensure proper installation conditions.

The construction projects will be performed at Hunter Army Airfield located at 931 Duncan Dr, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia 31409.
