Hull Mechanical & Equipment (HM&E)   4

Background
The contract involves providing pier side assists by offering management, technical services, labor, material, support services, and equipment for a full range of depot level repairs and alterations, troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and removal of main and auxiliary hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E) equipment and systems onboard U.S. Navy or other military type vessels. The work will primarily take place within a 50-mile radius of Norfolk, Virginia but may also be accomplished OCONUS.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide in-plant and dry dock capabilities for U.S. Navy or other military type vessels when necessary. They must respond to emergent requirements and may be required to handle simultaneous delivery orders for more than one vessel.
The contractor shall assign one lead project manager for each delivery order who will coordinate all aspects of the delivery order with the designated Government representative. The contractor must employ trained and technically qualified personnel to perform a full range of depot level repairs and alterations on major ship components and equipment onboard U.S. Navy or other military type vessels.

Place of Performance
The work will be accomplished onboard U.S. Navy vessels located primarily within a 50-mile radius of Norfolk, Virginia but may be accomplished OCONUS.
