Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) has a requirement for the support of Hull and Deck machinery on U.S. Navy ships. Hull and Deck machinery systems include vehicle launch and recorvery systems, specifically for rescue boats, missions boats, and unmanned underwater and surface vehicles. Additional machinery systems in support of the fleet mission capabilities include stern ramps, stern doors and gates, anchoring, mooring, towing systems, cranes, lift platforms, and platform lifts. Trident Maritime Systems shall support these systems in a variety of in-service tasks.

In Accordance with FAR 6.302-1, it is the Government's intention to procure these services as a sole source set-aside. The solicitation will be open to Trident Maritime Systems, who meets the requirements of the solicitation. NSWCPD seeks to award an Indefinite- Delivery, INdefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Single Award type contract with Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) and Firm-Fixed-Price ordering provisions.

Background
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is a Department of Defense entity responsible for research and development, test and evaluation, engineering, and fleet support for the Navy’s ships, submarines, military watercraft, and unmanned vehicles.

This contract aims to provide support for Hull and Deck machinery systems on U.S. Navy ships, including vehicle launch and recovery systems for rescue boats, mission boats, and unmanned vehicles. Trident Maritime Systems (TMS), the original designer of many of these systems, will provide necessary OEM support for fleet upgrades and maintenance.

Work Details
The contractor shall deliver engineering and technical services for hull and deck machinery systems on U.S. Navy ships. This includes:
- Support for vehicle launch and recovery systems (rescue boats, mission boats).
- Maintenance of stern ramps, stern doors, anchoring systems, towing systems, cranes, lift platforms.
- Tasks include shipboard system assessments, troubleshooting repairs, corrective/preventative maintenance, training, installation of equipment, engineering modifications/upgrades.
- Travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations to assess and repair systems in collaboration with NAVSEA engineering community.
- Provide technical documentation such as drawings and manuals to support repairs and design changes.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an ordering period from the date of award through 60 months after award and a performance period extending up to 72 months after award.

Place of Performance
Work will be performed at various locations both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS).
