HSIN Technology Modernization Platform

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO) is seeking support services for the modernization of the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN). The goal is to develop a trusted information sharing platform with intuitive tools and services for homeland security professionals. The contractor will be responsible for product management, planning, development, maintenance, security, and transition while adhering to Federal and DHS standards. Effective communication between the HSIN Product Owner, program manager, project team, business owners, and stakeholders is crucial for the research, design, architecture, engineering, documentation, and maintenance of the platform.

The contractor will provide services based on the Government's requirements outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). The specific objectives for HSIN modernization include enhancing user experience through best practices in user interface design, transitioning to a distributed architecture, developing mobile applications, and leveraging cloud-first and cloud-native technologies. The current technology environment utilizes components installed on AWS GovCloud. However, the future architecture aims to fully transition to a componentized architecture.
