HRU Medical Exams

Background
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) 15DDHQ25R00000026 for medical surveillance exams. The DEA's mission is to enforce the controlled substances laws and regulations of the United States and to combat drug trafficking and abuse.

This contract aims to provide comprehensive medical surveillance services for DEA applicants and employees, ensuring they meet the necessary medical qualifications to perform law enforcement duties safely.

Work Details
The contractor will provide medical surveillance services, including:
1. Conducting approximately 2,500 medical exams and 300 psychological assessments annually for applicants and incumbents across the United States, Guam, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
2. Evaluating applicants to determine if they meet DEA medical qualification standards.
3. Conducting mandatory periodic medical examinations of incumbents.
4. Providing necessary facilities, staff, materials, and equipment for an all-inclusive medical examination program.
5. Sub-contracting medical specialists as needed and working with DEA personnel to update forms and reports as per changes in DEA policies.
6. Performing Quality Assurance reviews of exams prior to submission to DEA.
7. Completing Missing Exam Information (MEI) as required at no additional cost.
8. Providing psychiatric and psychological assessments for applicants when medically indicated, ensuring candidates possess the mental ability required for law enforcement training programs.

Services will be performed across various locations in the United States, including Guam, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
