HQ AFOTEC Hallway Carpet and Painting

Background
The contract is issued by the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC) with the goal of improving the conditions of Building 20130 at Kirtland Air Force Base, NM. The mission of AFOTEC is to provide independent operational test and evaluation of Air Force weapon systems.

This project aims to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the hallways within the building through carpet replacement and painting.

Work Details
The contractor will remove and replace carpet and cove base in the hallways of Building 20130, excluding the Command Staff hallway and the A-3 area. Transition strips will be installed between the hallway carpet and each doorway.

The scope includes painting hallways above and below wooden chair rails, three stairwells, door jams, window frames (both sides on Wyoming, Gibson, and Southside Courtyard entrance inner wall), and handrails, also excluding the A-3 area. The work encompasses breezeways in front of the A-6 CST office area and South breezeways on both floors. Additionally, refinishing of wooden chair railings and handrails with top caps in three stairwells is required. All work must comply with current building codes, safety regulations, and must be performed in a neat, substantial, and workmanlike manner.

Period of Performance
The on-site performance period for all work in Building 20130 is set for 90 workdays.
