Houston Ship Channel, Texas, Redfish to Morgan’s Point, Hopper Dredging   3

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office is issuing a contract for dredging operations in the Houston Ship Channel, Texas, specifically from Redfish to Morgan’s Point. This project aims to maintain navigability and support the mission of facilitating maritime traffic in the region. The solicitation is open to all competitors, promoting full and open competition.

Work Details
The work consists of deep draft maintenance dredging of the Houston Ship Channel (HSC) from Redfish to Morgan’s Point, which includes:

1. Schedule 1 - Dredging approximately 4,591,000 cubic yards (CY) using a mandatory hopper dredge.

2. Option 1 - Maintenance dredging adjacent to Bayport Ship Channel for approximately 971,000 CY.

3. Option 2 - Maintenance dredging of the Bayport Ship Channel Flare for approximately 1,815,000 CY. All dredged material will be disposed of at a designated Ocean Dredge Material Disposal Site.

4. Option 3 - Sea Turtle Trawling and Relocation if needed. Contractors must be familiar with the traffic conditions on the Houston Ship Channel which accommodates various vessels including shallow- and deep-draft ships.

Period of Performance
The estimated completion time for Schedule No. 1 is 331 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed, while completion time for all options if awarded is estimated at 174 calendar days.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed in Harris Chambers and Galveston Counties, Texas.
