Houston Ship Channel, Texas - Placement Area (PA) Shoreline Protection. The scope of this contract is to repair and replace shoreline protection for PAs 14, 15, and Mid Bay. Shoreline repairs will be limited to small portions of each PA that have degraded over time. May include repairs to the outside face of existing dikes, removal/replacement of existing shoreline protection, and installation of attached breakwater to NW end of PA 15.

Background
The contract is for the repair and replacement of shoreline protection for Placement Areas (PAs) 14, 15, and Mid Bay in the Houston Ship Channel, Texas. The scope of the contract includes limited repairs to small portions of each PA that have degraded over time, such as repairs to the outside face of existing dikes, removal/replacement of existing shoreline protection, and installation of attached breakwater to NW end of PA 15.

The construction tasks include mobilization and demobilization, as-built drawings, final construction surveys, clearing grubbing & removal of debris, turfing, PA 15 perimeter dike excavation, PA 14 excavation for stone placement, Midbay PA excavation for stone placement, PA 15 geotextile woven installation, PA 14 geotextile nonwoven installation, Midbay PA geotextile nonwoven installation, PA 15 riprap R-1500 installation, PA 14 riprap R-1500 installation, Midbay PA riprap R-1500 installation, PA 15 bedding stone R-20 installation, PA 14 bedding stone R-20 installation, and Midbay PA bedding stone R-20 installation.
