Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office is issuing a contract for the FY26 Houston Ship Channel - Sims to Turning Basin Dredging. This contract aims to support the mission of maintaining and improving navigation channels, which are critical for commerce and transportation in the region.

Work Details
The work consists of:

- Schedule 1: Performing dredging between Sims Bayou and the upper Turning Basin area of the Houston Ship Channel.
- Option No. 1: Includes dredging of the Port of Houston Authority Docks and removal of tires and debris.

The estimated completion time for Schedule No. 1 is 120 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed, with an additional 90 calendar days if Option No. 1 is exercised.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 5 calendar days after award. They must begin work within 10 calendar days after acknowledgment of the Notice to Proceed. Prior government contract work is not required for submitting a response. The solicitation is a small business set aside.

The prior work involved dredging multiple segments of the Houston Ship Channel (main stem and adjacent channels) with material placed at designated placement areas in Houston, which is similar in type and geography to the FY26 requirement to dredge between Sims Bayou and the upper Turning Basin area (including Port of Houston Authority Docks under Option 1).
