Background
The Whiteriver Indian Health Service Hospital is seeking a contractor for the replacement of five 6-inch water system valves. The project aims to ensure the operational integrity of the water system at the Whiteriver Service Unit, which is part of the Indian Health Service's mission to provide quality health care services to American Indians and Alaska Natives.

The contractor will be responsible for all necessary work to achieve the required outcomes, including labor, equipment, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), incidental design, travel, per diem, tribal fees, and other related expenses.

Work Details
The contractor shall procure and install five new Hydra-Stop, Insta-Valve 250 Patriot 6-inch valves. The scope of work includes:

- Abandoning existing failed valves (GV-I1, GV-I7, GV-I9, GV-I10, GV-I19) in place;
- Installing new valves adjacent to the failed ones while keeping water lines operational;
- Excavating the installation area;
- Pouring concrete valve supports as needed;
- Installing new Insta-Valves according to specified locations;
- Utilizing a torque wrench for tightening bolts as per manufacturer requirements;
- Installing new valve risers to ground level and backfilling the area; and
- Verifying valve functionality with a government representative.

The contractor must also secure all required permits and ensure compliance with federal, state, tribal, and local codes.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 60 calendar days after award.

Place of Performance
All work shall be performed at the Whiteriver Service Unit (WRSU) Medicine City housing complex located adjacent to 200 West Hospital Drive, Whiteriver, Arizona 85941.
