Housing Support Services USAG Italy – Vicenza

Background: The United States Army Garrison Italy (USAG-I) Caserma Ederle DPW Housing Office has offered housing support services of taxi-interpreters to incoming and outgoing personnel for approximately 33 years. Prior to this service, housing employees and/or Government sponsors were responsible for providing transportation and assisting customers with interpretation. Due to an increase in the customer base and a decrease of staff in the housing office, combined with cultural challenges associated with the unique nature of the Italian real estate and utility markets, this service was established. Since its beginning, the support services of the taxi-interpreters have been used by more than 28,000 Service Members and civilian personnel.

Details: The contractor shall provide taxi and interpretation services to housing office customers. These services include:

1) transportation to and from available rental quarters;
2) transportation to and from local utility companies, facilitation with opening and closing utilities procedures;
3) interpretation and translation for housing related matters;
4) private rental unit assignment inspections in the presence of landlord and tenant/s, annotating the general conditions of the property;
5) assist with application procedures for Codice Fiscale for all in-processing personnel;
6) assist with application procedures for Vicenza downtown Zona Traffico Limitato (ZTL) area driving permits;
7) liaison support between Private Rental occupants and property owners, realtors or designated point of contacts (POC).

Period of Performance: The period of performance for this contract is from February 5, 2024 to February 4, 2029.

Place of Performance: The contract will be performed at Caserma Ederle, Via Pra Spineo, Vicenza 36040, Italy.
