Background
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is conducting market research to identify small businesses capable of providing housekeeping, solid waste, and recycling removal services for its facilities located in Bethesda, MD.

The goal of this effort is to gather information that will inform the acquisition strategy, contract structure, and the development of the final Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Work Details
The contract will encompass the following services:
- Custodial / Housekeeping Services: Routine and periodic cleaning of offices, laboratories (non-hazardous areas), common areas, and support spaces; restroom sanitation and replenishment; floor care services including sweeping, mopping, waxing, and carpet cleaning; interior trash removal.
- Solid Waste Services: Collection of non-hazardous waste; provision, placement, and servicing of waste containers and dumpsters; disposal at licensed and approved facilities while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Recycling Services: Collection and processing of recyclable materials; support for sustainability and waste diversion goals; tracking and reporting of recycling metrics; coordination with existing campus recycling initiatives.

The services will be performed at the National Institutes of Health campus located in Bethesda, Maryland.
