Background
The U.S. Embassy in Rome, Italy, is seeking hotel accommodations to support a senior high-level U.S. Government VIP visit in connection with the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympic Games. This action is being conducted under the authority of 41 USC 3304 due to unusual and compelling urgency, as the requirements for this event necessitate specific security and logistical considerations.

Work Details
The Embassy requires hotel accommodations for up to 2,000 nights/rooms from January 20 to February 15. The estimated value for the entire period of performance is approximately €1,200,000 or $1,396,000. Task orders will be issued as needed to meet accommodation needs and security requirements. Multiple suitable hotels have been identified to accommodate the VIP and supporting staff by utilizing available rooms at each location.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from January 20 to February 15.
