Background
The Department of State is seeking to acquire hotel accommodations for a Senior High Level USG VIP visit. This action is justified under the need for urgency and security concerns that prevent full and open competition. The estimated cost for the hotel accommodations is Euro 600,000.00, equivalent to approximately $677,200.90.

Work Details
The contractor, Liguria OpCo Srl (Hotel W Rome), will provide hotel accommodations for an estimated 435 room nights to support a delegation traveling with the Senior High Level USG Principal. The nature of the services includes ensuring security and logistical support for the VIP visit, which involves coordination with security, communications, logistics, and operations teams.

Due to security concerns, there is insufficient time to conduct full and open competition; thus, only specific hotels that meet security requirements can be considered. The selection process involves site surveys to determine suitable hotels based on their ability to accommodate security needs, communications support, and logistical arrangements.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed in conjunction with the timing of the Senior High Level USG VIP visit, which is subject to last-minute changes and requires immediate action to secure accommodations.
