Description

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION

Background
The Department of State is seeking to acquire hotel accommodations for a Senior High Level USG VIP visit, which includes a delegation with support elements in Security, Communications, Logistics, and Operations.

The estimated cost for this acquisition is Euro 500,000.00 or approximately $574,500.00. Due to security concerns and the urgency of the requirement, the Department recommends using other than full and open competition for this acquisition.

Work Details
The contractor, Roberto Naldi Collection Srl, will provide hotel accommodations at Hotel Parco dei Principi and Hotel Splendide Royal in Naples, Italy.

The estimated number of room nights required is 500. The selection of hotels is based on security and logistical considerations to ensure a safe environment for the VIP visitors. The urgency of the requirement arises from the need for immediate arrangements due to last-minute confirmations of travel plans and high demand during the holiday season. Other hotels were reviewed but did not have sufficient room availability to accommodate all VIP visitors.
