Homeland Defense Over-The-Horizon Radar (HLD OTHR) Industry Day

Background
The Homeland Defense Over-The-Horizon Radar (HLD OTHR) Industry Day is being organized by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) PEO Digital Theater Battle Control Division Long Range Radar Branch. The event aims to announce the program office’s strategy to acquire and field over-the-horizon radar systems in support of homeland defense objectives of both US Northern Command/North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORTHCOM/NORAD) and US Air Force’s Air Combat Command (ACC). The HLD OTHR system will focus on low flying air target sets that are typically obscured from conventional line of-sight radar systems by the curvature of the earth and thereby permit long range early detection and response to land or sea targets of interest.

Work Details
The intent of the Industry Day is to target U.S. DoD Contractors and Foreign National contractors prime radar contractors with the ability to demonstrate production ready over-the-horizon radar systems that can meet requirements by the FY25 Military Construction (MILCON) start in order to meet or exceed a FY27 Initial Operational Capability (IOC) date. The Government is targeting solutions that can meet requirements, have been operationally demonstrated, and/or be fielded on or before FY27. The Industry Day is not mandatory, but interested parties must provide an RSVP with company name, email address, and estimated number of attendees.
Over-the-horizon radar system manufacturers, radar subsystem manufacturers, and radar component manufacturers that can meet the rapid delivery requirements may submit a request for a classified one-on-one meeting with the organizers. Interested parties are required to submit questions for consideration within five business days after the conclusion of the one-on-one session.
