Description

Army Contracting Command - Rock Island, on behalf of the Joint Program Executive Office - Armaments & Ammunition hereby releases its redacted Justification and Approval for the 12-month extension of the Holston Army Ammuntion Plant Facility Contract as required by FAR 6.305(a).

Background
The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island, on behalf of the Joint Program Executive Office - Armaments & Ammunition, has released a justification for a 12-month extension of the Holston Army Ammunition Plant Facility Contract. This extension is necessary to maintain critical production capabilities and ensure readiness in case of national emergencies.

Work Details
The facility use contract includes nine separate Performance Work Statements (PWSs) covering operations, maintenance, research and development at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant. These PWSs include Facility Plans, Property, Environmental, Safety, Security, Government Support, Fire Protection, Maintenance, and Material Handling. The contract supports the operation of HSAAP and is indirectly funded through offsets built into product unit prices. The facility modernization projects are also part of this contract but no new projects are planned under this extension.

Period of Performance
The contract extension covers a period from 01 January 2024 to 31 December 2024.
