HNAK - Request For Information (RFI) - Air Force Communications Networking Research and Analysis Initiatives for Tactical Data Links and Gateways

Background
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Aerial Networks Division (AFLCMC/HNAG) is seeking qualified vendors to self-identify and re-verify their expert qualifications and technical experiences for continued Program Management Office (PMO) efforts.

The focus is on two independent initiatives: the Air Force Aerial Networking (AFAN) Roadmap Analysis Initiative and the Common Tactical Edge Network (CTEN) software development effort.

Work Details
The AFAN Roadmap Analysis Initiative will support the analytical requirements for the Air Combat Command (ACC) 2026 core document update and the generation of the AFAN Roadmap Special Annex. It will align with Department of the Air Force (DAF) Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM).

The initiative aims to provide operational impact-driven requirements analysis crucial for force structure and AF Force Design 2033 to ensure mission success against peer threats. The scope includes:
- Analysis of C2 communications and networking transport layer architectures focusing on enterprise-level impacts on warfare execution in various environments.
- Delivering results to support the development of the AFAN Roadmap and USAF future communications capabilities.
- Conducting a Gap Analysis to assess operational and tactical communications gaps as capability configurations are evaluated, incorporating technology changes or delays in planned capabilities.
