Background
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is issuing this Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a HIP Optimization Study for GRX-810. The goal of the contract is to conduct a detailed research study involving the processing of creep specimen blanks provided by NASA, utilizing Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) techniques. This study aims to optimize the parameters and processes involved in HIP to enhance material properties.

Work Details
The contractor will perform the following tasks:
- Conduct 30 HIP cycles using creep specimen blanks provided by NASA.
- Utilize in-house equipment and sensors to generate detailed reports required for the research study.
- Maintain flexibility regarding HIP parameters and scheduling.
- Adhere to specified maximums for HIP parameters:
- Maximum temperature: 2000 °C
- Maximum pressure: 200 MPa
- Maximum total hold and cooling time: 8 hours
- Use Argon 4.5 as the pressure medium.
- Provide documentation to NASA for each HIP cycle performed.
- Complete all HIP cycles within 12 weeks after the purchase order is awarded.
