High Reach Bucket Truck Lease   3

Background
The Air Force is seeking to lease a 6x6 100ft High Reach Bucket Truck to support its operational needs. The goal of this contract is to provide a reliable and efficient vehicle that meets specific performance and safety requirements for various tasks.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide a 6x6 High Reach Bucket Truck with the following specifications:

1. Operator’s Compartment: Full width cab with operator controls, automatic transmission, climate controls, AM/FM radio, bench seats with seat belts (3), power windows and locks if available, and power steering.

2. Vehicle Chassis: Minimum one (1) ton or equal Class 8-58,000 lbs. GVWR, heavy duty with dual rear wheels, all-wheel drive capable, supporting aerial platform without outriggers. Features include heavy duty bumpers, lockable storage compartments, towing package (minimum Class 3), rust proofing, and mud flaps.

3. Engine/Transmission: Diesel engine with minimum 330 horsepower and heavy duty automatic transmission with on-demand all-wheel drive.

4. Aerial Platform: Hydraulically operated platform/boom capable of operation from both worker’s position and lower control station; maximum working height not exceeding 104.8 feet; minimum horizontal reach of at least 52.7 feet; platform capacity of at least 350 lbs; self-leveling with safety lock; insulated with fall protection connection; emergency lowering capability; weather protective cover for worker’s platform.

5. Tires: All terrain radial tires along with wheel chocks and outrigger pads.

6. Safety Features: Amber warning lights on cab and boom, back-up warning alarm, safety handle for climbing onto the bed/platform, slip-resistant steps, mounted fire extinguisher, and warning triangles.
