Description

The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) is searching for potential sources that are capable of meeting the requirement described in the attached draft Specifications for High-Performance GPU/CPU Server Systems and Control Workstation. The intent of this RFI/ Sources Sought is to:

  1. Determine if an adequate number of qualified, interested contractors capable of performing the work further described in the attached draft Specifications exist; and
  2. Determine if the contractor can meet the required specifications.

NRL asks that the interested parties, at a minimum, supply the following information:

  1. Name of Company and Point of Contact (POC)
  2. Business Size/Socioeconomic Categories
  3. Unique Entity ID (DUNS) and Cage Code
  4. Capabilities Statement relevant to the attached Specifications
  5. Any questions/suggestions related to the Specifications
  6. Whether the proposed item would be considered a commercial item in accordance with FAR 2.101
  7. If the manufacturer of the component, please confirm if Authorized Resellers are available.

Since this is a SSN/RFI, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. The Government is not committed to awarding a contract or issuing a solicitation pursuant to this announcement. No solicitation package is available at this time.

Background
The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) is seeking potential sources capable of fulfilling the requirements for High-Performance GPU/CPU Server Systems and Control Workstation.

The goal of this procurement is to enhance the capabilities of the Laboratory for Autonomous Systems Research (LASR) located in Washington, D.C., by acquiring advanced computing platforms that support AI, simulation applications, and integrated management workflows.

Work Details
The vendor shall provide all hardware, software, and services necessary to meet the technical specifications outlined in this document.

Key deliverables include:
1. A 4-server GPU/CPU rack for multi-threaded processing and GPU-accelerated workloads.
2. A control workstation for remote monitoring and asset management.
3. Complete assembly services for server systems including processors, memory, storage devices, GPUs, and internal components.
4. On-site integration services to configure and integrate servers with associated hardware.
5. One- to three-year on-site next business day support services covering troubleshooting and repair of defective components.
6. Installation of Ubuntu operating system on each server system.
7. Final acceptance will occur once the systems are installed, tested, and any deficiencies resolved.

Place of Performance
All installation, configuration, and integration work will take place at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C.
