The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is seeking support services for its Superfund Research Program (SRP). The SRP is a university-based research program that focuses on finding innovative strategies and technologies to address the assessment and remediation of hazardous substances at Superfund sites. The purpose of this contract is to communicate and disseminate the science and technology developed by the SRP to its broad end users, including government offices, communities affected by hazardous waste sites, industries, and academia. The contractor will be responsible for tasks such as maintaining data information systems, enhancing the dissemination of research advances, promoting the use of SRP science, providing support for the development of the SRP Strategic Plan, and organizing conferences and workshops.

The acquisition timeframe and place of performance/delivery are not specified in the summary. However, it is mentioned that the contractor will be required to provide ongoing support in various task areas. Notable aspects of this opportunity include the importance placed on communication and information transfer, the need for proficiency in database management and content management systems, and the emphasis on compliance with federal policies and guidelines for web communication. The contractor will play a crucial role in ensuring that research outcomes from the SRP are readily available to its end users and contribute to the advancement of environmental health science.
