HHS NIH - Scientific Evidence Evaluation - MRAS

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), in collaboration with the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to support the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). The focus is on the Division of Translational Toxicology (DTT), which aims to understand how environmental factors impact human health. This initiative seeks to leverage both traditional and cutting-edge research methods to evaluate scientific evidence related to environmental exposures and their effects on public health.

The contract involves providing comprehensive services necessary for scientific evidence evaluation and knowledge integration within translational toxicology. This includes furnishing all required personnel, materials, procedures, equipment, and facilities. The contractor will operate independently from the government, ensuring that activities are conducted as per a detailed research outline that specifies project-specific activities, milestones, and deliverables.

Key areas of work under this contract include systematic evidence mapping and scoping reviews of environmental health literature, systematic review and evidence synthesis, report development and scientific writing, document preparation and publication, coordination of external peer reviews, logistical management for advisory group meetings and workshops, provision of expert consultants in relevant scientific disciplines, as well as the development and implementation of novel tools and informatics approaches. These efforts aim to enhance understanding and reporting on the effects of environmental substances on public health.
