HHS NIH - Office of AIDS Research (OAR) Professional support - MRAS

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of AIDS Research (OAR). The OAR plays a critical role in coordinating the scientific, budgetary, legislative, and policy aspects of NIH's HIV/AIDS research initiatives. By setting scientific priorities and fostering collaboration across NIH, OAR ensures that research investments are directed towards significant scientific opportunities aimed at developing new tools to combat the HIV pandemic. The authority for this work is derived from the Public Health Service Act under Public Law 100-607.

The scope of work for this project encompasses a wide range of professional, scientific, administrative, communications, and technical support services essential for fulfilling OAR's mission. These services include providing scientific management and strategic consulting to guide research directions and priorities effectively. Additionally, administrative support is needed for committees and Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) related activities to ensure compliance with federal regulations.

Moreover, the contract will involve planning and logistics for meetings, workshops, and events that are crucial for knowledge exchange and collaboration among stakeholders. Effective information dissemination and communication strategies will also be essential components of this work to enhance public awareness and engagement with OAR's initiatives. Furthermore, maintaining website operations for platforms like OAR's main site as well as HIVinfo and Clinicalinfo is vital for providing up-to-date information on clinical guidelines.

Additional responsibilities include editorial support for clinical guidelines panels, data analytics for portfolio analysis and evaluation purposes, as well as budgetary oversight alongside office management tasks. Document production and records management are also integral parts of ensuring that all processes within OAR run smoothly while maintaining transparency and accountability in its operations.
