HHS CDC - Office of Tribal Affairs and Strategic Alliances Support - MRAS

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (CDC/ATSDR). The focus is on providing meeting planning and execution expertise, specifically tailored to American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities at a national level. The overarching goal is to facilitate culturally appropriate meetings and conferences that align with the mission of CDC/ATSDR to promote health, prevent disease, and enhance quality of life within these communities.

The contract seeks expertise in organizing a series of meetings for the Office of Tribal Affairs and Strategic Alliances (OTASA). This includes two hybrid meetings combining in-person and virtual participation, six virtual Tribal Advisory Committee (TAC) meetings, each lasting up to two hours, as well as up to fourteen workgroup or ad hoc meetings. One hybrid meeting will occur in Indian Country while the other will be hosted at CDC headquarters in Atlanta, GA. These gatherings are critical for fostering dialogue between tribal officials and CDC/ATSDR representatives on policy issues impacting tribal health infrastructure.

Contractors will be tasked with ensuring seamless coordination across all events by providing culturally informed support. This involves project management responsibilities such as planning calls, communications preparation, promotional activities, material distribution, and logistical arrangements for both physical attendees and virtual participants. The contractor's role is crucial in guaranteeing that all participants experience successful engagement during TAC meetings while respecting the cultural nuances inherent in working with AI/AN/NH communities.
