The U.S. Army Contracting Command New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armament Center (CCDC-AC) issued a Combined Synopsis / Solicitation on 13 April 2023. This brand name requirement was issued sole source to Hexagon Metrology Corporation as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) under the authority of 41 United States Code 1901 as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. Further, per FAR 13.106-1(b), only one source is reasonably available due to brand name and exclusive licensing agreements. The contract is a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract in the amount of $332,352.00, which includes a period of performance of one 12-month base period and three 12-month option periods.
