PAPERBOARD FOLDING WITH WATERPROOF BARRIER MATERIALS AND CUSHIONED, AS

NEEDED IN BUBBLE-WRAP, BAGGED AND PACKED IN AN APPROPRIATELY SIZED ASTM-D5118

DOUBLE-WALL FIBERBOARD BOX. BAG CLOSURE SHALL BE EFFECTED BY HEAT-SEALING,

ADHESIVES, OR TAPING. OTHER TYPE BAG CLOSURES SUCH AS PRESSURE-FIT, ZIPPER, AND

OTHERS, ARE ACCEPTABLE. PLACED INSIDE OF BAG SHALL BE DESICCANT IN ACCORDANCE WITH

TYPE II OR III OF MIL-D-3464.

MARKING IAW MIL-STD-129R & BAR CODING IAW ISO/IEC-16388-2007, CODE 39 SYMBOLOGY.

Background
The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center has a requirement for heating elements as part of their logistics and supply chain operations. The goal of this contract is to procure specific heating elements to support the operational readiness of the Coast Guard's equipment.

Work Details
The contract requires the delivery of 16 units of heating elements, identified by National Stock Number (NSN) 4540-01-102-3621 and part number 714XQ141136. Each unit must be individually packaged in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-I E Method 10, utilizing weather-resistant paperboard folding with waterproof barrier materials.

The packaging must include cushioning as needed, bubble-wrap, and be bagged and packed in appropriately sized ASTM-D5118 double-wall fiberboard boxes. Bag closures can be achieved through heat-sealing, adhesives, or taping, while other types like pressure-fit or zipper closures are also acceptable. Each bag must contain desiccant in accordance with Type II or III of MIL-D-3464. Marking must comply with MIL-STD-129R and barcoding must follow ISO/IEC-16388-2007 using Code 39 symbology.

Place of Performance
All material must be shipped to U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Receiving Room-BLDG 88, Baltimore, MD 21226.
