Background
The U.S. Embassy in Asuncion, Paraguay requires health insurance services for its locally employed staff and their eligible dependents. The contract includes coverage for official residence expense staff, retirees, and excess coverage for extended family. The U.S. Embassy is not responsible for any riders.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide health insurance services as specified in Section C of the solicitation package. The contract includes provisions for health benefits, deductibles, hospitalization, surgery, doctor visits, hospital outpatient services, prescription drugs, obstetrical care, ambulance service, HIV/AIDS treatment coverage, emergencies, intensive care, specialized cases, laboratory analysis and diagnosis, preventative care, physical therapy, psychiatric treatment, dental service, optical service, hearing aids and other related services. The contractor must have a minimum of two years of prior work experience in this business and an office settled in the City of Asuncion.

Period of Performance
The performance period of this contract is one year beginning 30 days following contract award with four one-year options to renew.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the U.S. Embassy located at 1776 Mariscal Lopez Avenue in Asunción, Paraguay.
