FFDG is seeking to procure (2) fabricated HD Coldboxes, with a potential third.

Please see attached for Fermilab RFP# 375613swk and associated documentation. Please ensure that you review the RFP document fully, as it outlines how to submit a complete proposal package.

  • Proposals are due 5pm Central, January 6th 2026 (THIS IS THE NEW DUE DATE, THE RFP DOCUMENT DOES NOT REFLECT THIS NEW DUE DATE)

Background
Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC (FFDG) is seeking to procure fabricated HD Coldboxes for the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab).
The mission of Fermilab is to advance the understanding of the universe through particle physics research.
This contract aims to acquire specific assemblies that are essential for Fermilab's operations.

Work Details
The procurement includes the following items:
1. Base Scope: 2 units of Stainless Steel (SS 304) Coldbox Structure as per Specification and Drawing Package.
2. Alternate Additive Scope: 1 unit of Stainless Steel (SS 304) Coldbox Structure as per Specification and Drawing Package.
All fabrication must adhere to the Procurement Specification and Drawing Package.
The Alternate Additive Scope will be determined upon final award.
Proposals must clearly indicate any exceptions to specifications and extra charges for containers, tooling, etc.

Place of Performance
The products will be delivered to Fermilab Receiving Warehouse 2, located at Kirk Rd & Wilson Street, Batavia, IL 60510, United States.
