Description

Hazardous Tree Removal & Right of Way Corridor Clearing. The contractor shall furnish all materials, supplies, tools, parts, equipment, transportation, labor, supervision, communication, and quality control to complete the work listed below, at the areas specified at
Barren River Lake, located in Barren and Allen Counties, Kentucky.

Prices should include mobilization & de-mobilization, fuel, labor, material, equipment and any applicable permits.
The contractor's work and responsibility shall include all planning, programming, administration, management,
supervision, communications and inspection necessary to assure that all work is conducted in accordance with the
contract requirements and all applicable Federal, State and Local laws and regulations.
All work shall be performed in strict compliance with the attached specifications and all other terms and conditions
incorporated herein. Work under this contract shall begin within 10 calendar days of Award being issued and must
be completed within 120 calendar days of Award.

The work under this request for quote is 100% set aside for small business. NAICS Code 561730 (Size Standard,
$9.5 Million).

One award will be made from this Solicitation. The contract award will be based on Lowest Price.

Note: A site visit is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. It is strongly encouraged that each interested contractor visit the job
site and assume responsibility for quantities, materials, critical dimensions, and work conditions used to calculate a
quote. This site visit will be held on 18 September @ 0900 Central Time. The POC's contact information is as

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing this contract for the removal of hazardous trees and right-of-way corridor clearing at Barren River Lake, located in Barren and Allen Counties, Kentucky.

The mission of this contract is to ensure safety and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by removing dead or dying trees that pose a risk to public safety and the environment.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all materials, supplies, tools, parts, equipment, transportation, labor, supervision, communication, and quality control necessary to complete the following tasks:

1. Remove hazardous trees identified by blue metal tags at specified locations within Barren River Lake.
2. Cut down trees to within 3-4 inches of the ground and transport debris to designated burn areas on government property.
3. Remove hazardous limbs greater than ¾ inch in diameter from designated trees.
4. Maintain clean roadways and ensure contractor equipment does not block access during work hours.
5. Coordinate with the Corps project office for work around occupied campsites to minimize disruption to campers.
6. Attend a pre-work conference to discuss plans and provide proof of liability insurance.
7. Submit safety plans and certifications for employees qualified in First Aid and CPR prior to commencing work.
