Description

The US Marine Corps Pacific Command (MCIPAC) RCO is seeking written responses with information to assist the Government with identifying potential sources that are interested in and capable of providing the service that are specific to handling hazardous materials and waste.

The contractor will utilize three Government owned facilities located on Camp Kinser and Camp Hansen to: unload material from shipping containers; input material receipt information into a Government assigned software package; print/label individual hazardous items; store hazardous material; stow re-use/new Government owned hazardous material; issue re-use/new Government owned material; transport/deliver hazardous material to units located on Marine Corps and Navy installations on the island of Okinawa (to include Ie Shima); conduct locker/container inspections; provide waste containers with proper markings/labels; transport hazardous waste products to the Government owned facilities; prepare documentation for disposal and coordinate disposal actions with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services.

The objective is to have a DOD/EPA/Japan Environmental Governing Standards-compliant program operating on Okinawa.

The objective is to have a DOD/EPA/Japan Environmental Governing Standards-compliant program operating on Okinawa.

Work Details
The contractor will utilize three Government owned facilities located on Camp Kinser and Camp Hansen to:
unload material from shipping containers; input material receipt information into a Government assigned software package; print/label individual hazardous items; store hazardous material; stow re-use/new Government owned hazardous material; issue re-use/new Government owned material; transport/deliver hazardous material to units located on Marine Corps and Navy installations on the island of Okinawa (to include Ie Shima); conduct locker/container inspections; provide waste containers with proper markings/labels; transport hazardous waste products to the Government owned facilities; prepare documentation for disposal and coordinate disposal actions with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) – Disposition Services.
The contractor shall provide a workforce that is trained and certified to handle, manage, and transport hazardous materials and hazardous wastes. The workforce shall include an onsite manager with authority to perform and resolve all matters relating to the contract performance. The contractor shall provide enough qualified, trained employees to perform work relating to the contract performance.

Period of Performance
The period of performance of this contract is one base year with four option years.

Place of Performance
The contractor will utilize three Government facilities. Two (2) facilities are located on Camp Kinser, Buildings 407 and 500. The third facility is located on Camp Hansen, Building 2174. Additional facilities may be added at a future date.
