Harlan County Lake Refuse contract

Background
Harlan County Lake is the second largest reservoir in Nebraska, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, offering a wide variety of recreation facilities. Routine maintenance items are contracted to the private sector, including mowing, refuse collection, and facility cleanup.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all manpower, equipment, fuel, tools, supervision and other items and services necessary to provide refuse collection in parks at the Harlan County Lake near Republican City, Nebraska. The services shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, and supplies to service and empty approximately 18 Contractor furnished dumpsters and containers. Refuse from the receptacles and dumpsters shall be transported to and disposed of by the Contractor at a State licensed Landfill off government property.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is from 1 May thru 30 September for certain parks and from 1 April thru 30 April and 1 October thru 30 November for others. Refuse will be collected once weekly on Monday during certain months and two times weekly on Monday and Friday during others.
