Install Fiber Optic cabling from Hangar 3 (Bldg. 10571) Communication Room to MCLIPS shelters. This effort is to install 24 strands of fiber optic cabling from the first floor comm room (Room 102B) to the interior of the MCLIPS Shelters. Engineer, Furnish, Install, and Test (EFI&T) 24 strand single mode fiber optic communication cable from first floor comm room (Room 102b) to MCLIPS shelters on north side of Hangar 3.

Contractor must provide and terminate approximately 300 ft of fiber into a 24-port small form factor fiber patch panel in hangar 3 comm room 102b. The distant end of the fiber will be terminated in a 24-port small form factor patch panel in the MCLIPS shelter. All Connectors will be LC format. Materials, installation, and testing will comply with industry standards outlined in OSP JBER Telecom Standards and JBER Telecom Criteria (attached). Exterior fiber needs to be installed within a rigid metal conduit approximately 250ft and must be firmly affixed to the exterior of Hangar 3 and the exterior of the MCLIP shelter.

Background
The 673 Communications Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, is seeking a contractor for the installation of fiber optic cabling from Hangar 3 (Bldg. 10571) Communication Room to MCLIPS shelters.

The goal of this contract is to enhance communication capabilities by installing 24 strands of single mode fiber optic communication cable, ensuring compliance with industry standards outlined in OSP JBER Telecom Standards and JBER Telecom Criteria.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Engineer, furnish, install, and test (EFI&T) 24 strands of single mode fiber optic communication cable from the first floor comm room (Room 102B) to the interior of the MCLIPS shelters located on the north side of Hangar 3.
- Provide and terminate approximately 300 ft of fiber into a 24-port small form factor fiber patch panel in Hangar 3 comm room (Room 102B).
- Terminate the distant end of the fiber in a 24-port small form factor patch panel in the MCLIPS shelter.
- Ensure all connectors are LC format.
- Install exterior fiber within a rigid metal conduit approximately 250 ft long, affixed securely to both the exterior of Hangar 3 and the MCLIP shelter without drilling or welding into the shelter itself. This must be accomplished using clamps or torsion devices that do not penetrate the outer skin of the MCLIP shelter.
